Coordinates

Hello explorers.
Due to the meddling of some hacker-type person, a dangerous truth was revealed that put our two explorers in jeopardy.
The coordinates that were at the end of the last White Flag Podcast were, in fact, a location in Mooresville, Indiana where the picture of our two explorers were doing field work.
I assure you that even though our explorers are in Mooresville, they did discover a new and strange land and need your help now more than ever before.  We don't know who is attacking us, but rest assured, we won't let them win.
Please notify me by email if you hear of anything or anything new develops.

A picture of our explorers!

Some of you had issues with the last email and solving that puzzle (and I may be partially to blame due to a slight counting error).  Everyone will receive partial credit, but if you got it correct, or can figure out what the message was you will still get full credit.

Here is a picture of our 2 explorers in the field running some studies on the atmosphere.  These are strange times indeed!

Question?

Hello everyone.
Things have been hectic here at the Janus Exploration Group.  We have entered a partnership with White Flag Games to sponsor their podcast, and the first one should be available this weekend!
Please continue to notify us if any strange things happen regarding White Flag Games.  They seem to be up to something and we want to do our part to help our partners.
One of the junior explorers Jimmy pointed out a question mark at the end of the recent White Flag Games event newsletter.  This is peculiar indeed.  What is the question mark for?

A partnership of sorts

Hello once again, explorers!
We have begun to receive some evidence to very strange things going on at White Flag Games.  The video was most intriguing. Those who haven't found it, may still look and submit to us any evidence they find of that and more weird happenings at White Flag Games.
We have entered into a partnership with White Flag Games so that you all and the Janus Group can help solve the mystery of what is going on over there with our newfound friends.
We will be sponsoring the re-launch of their podcast! How exciting!
I am about to mail you an important email, explorers, so be on the lookout!

Exciting times indeed!

Greetings Explorers!
I am taking a break from drafting an important email to all of you.  If you haven't already submitted your solution to the dilemma posted on 12/22, please do so.  This was, of course, a test.  None of our highly trained field explorers would ever put themselves into such a predicament. To try and carry a Thermal Redactor and 2 tempspheres up a rope would be folly!
If you did not get the solution exactly correct, fear not. You did receive partial credit and there will be plenty of other ways to earn favor with the Janus Exploration Group. Remember, the winner will be awarded with great riches, as well as the title of Master Explorer!
I thought I would share with you how many explorers thus far are vying for the coveted Master Explorer title and also share how many people we have of each eye color.

Blue - 9
Brown - 7
Hazel -5
Gray - 3
Green - 3
Total - 27

There are still 11 participants that haven't turned in a response to the 12/22 post.  Late answers still earn some favor, however, not as much as timely responses will.  We have also decided to keep enrollment open for now until we reach the maximum number of participants.  If you know of anyone that might be a great fit for the Janus Exploration Group, please direct their attention to us.

Best wishes,
Archibald

Hail and well met!

Thank goodness it is the height of winter.  It is sure to bring about better weather for exploration!
We have sent out the welcome letters to all of the new recruits.  We are excited to have you all, no matter what color eyes you have! ;)
Our two explorers have run into a predicament of sorts.  It is our hope that one of our new recruits may have the answer we are looking for to this dilemma.

Every Janus explorer comes with three specific pieces of equipment:
One Thermal Redactor - a device used to regulate temperature.
One Glacial Sphere - a sphere that makes the immediate area 30 degrees colder.
One Sauna Sphere - a sphere that makes the immediate area 30 degrees warmer.

The two spheres are used as an energy source of sorts for the Thermal Redactor, however, the Thermal Redactor is a very sensitive device.  If only one sphere is near the Thermal Redactor, the sudden change in temperature will destroy the inner components making the device useless. Both spheres must be near the device at all times, but cannot touch the device lest the spheres become inert.  The two spheres by themselves do nothing but change the temperature. Next to each other, they cancel each other out, but do not damage each other.

Here's where one of our explorers has ran into an issue.  Our explorer must climb a rope to get to where he needs to be and needs to bring the equipment with him.  He tried climbing with the contents separately wrapped in his pack, but with all the climbing, they come loose and end up touching rendering the spheres inert. These are expensive, mind you.
He can carry one item at a time, but due to how the items interact with each other, he can't leave one sphere with the Redactor by itself.
Throwing them is out of the question.  He must carry one item at a time to ensure that they don't break or short out, but how?

Please email us at JanusExplorationGroup@gmail.com if you think you have a solution.  We will try to get back with you in a timely manner.

To new beginnings!
Archibald

Hello, would-be travelers!

Salutations!
It is with great pride that I announce to you, the masses, of a new and wonderful place that we have found!  We have sent our top two explorers there, but we are in great need of your help!

Firstly, I must step back and assure you that we are solely doing this at our expense.  No monetary involvement on your part will be required.  What we need is information, solutions to tricky problems, and maybe a few, minor, personal details.  Nothing too important.  This is all for sake of discovery!

Secondly, the Janus Group renounces any accusations of us being a secret sect of government or religion.  We simply serve the world at large, and wish to share the wealth of knowledge that will come from our explorations!  Whether under sea, deep in cave, far in space, or right under our nose, we search everywhere for the sole reason of discovery.

Here is where you come in, dear recipients.  Our two explorers will need your help in this strange new environment they have found.  From time to time, we will call on you to request your help with problem solving or other information.  If you are interested in joining this journey, please send an email to janusexplorationgroup@gmail.com with "Explorer" as the subject.  In the body, please only include the sentence: My name is __(name)__ and I have __(color)__ eyes. For example: My name is Archibald and I have blue eyes.

If you know others that may want to help, please direct them to us.  There is a great reward for one of the lucky explorers that enlist their help in our cause.

Thank you for your time, we hope to hear from you soon,
Archibald
